What data we collect

Identification and contact data (first and last name, shipping and billing address, email, phone, VAT number if applicable), order and payment data (card details are processed directly by the payment service provider and are not stored by us), messages sent through the contact form, browsing data and cookies (IP address, device and browser type, pages visited).

Purposes and legal bases

  • Managing orders, payments, shipping, invoicing and customer support – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Replying to requests sent through the website – pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
  • Sending commercial communications and newsletters – consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Statistics, measurement and advertising through cookies and third-party tools – consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner.
  • Fraud prevention and protection of our rights – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Whether providing data is mandatory

Providing the data marked as mandatory is necessary to place an order: without it we cannot provide the service. Other data is optional.

Recipients of the data

Data may be disclosed to parties who process it on our behalf as data processors: the e-commerce and hosting platform (Shopify), payment service providers, carriers (for example GLS), IT, email marketing and analytics providers, consultants and accountants. The up-to-date list can be requested from the Controller.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

Retention period

Contractual, tax and accounting data are kept for the duration of the relationship and then for the periods required by law (generally 10 years). Data processed for marketing purposes is kept until you withdraw your consent. Data sent through the contact form is kept for as long as needed to handle the request. Cookies last as indicated in the banner. Once the retention period ends, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to request its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@valserena.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or the authority of your country of residence.

Cookies

The website uses technical cookies necessary for its operation and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage or withdraw your preferences at any time through the cookie banner.
