In Gainago di Torrile, just a few minutes from Parma, there is a place where Parmigiano Reggiano is not just a product to buy: it is a story that you can see, touch, and taste in person. Here is what you will find when you come to visit us at the Valserena shop.
Where we are
Our dairy is located in Gainago di Torrile, in the province of Parma — easily accessible by car and just a stone's throw from the main roads connecting to the city. We are not just any store: we are the same farm that raises Brown Swiss cows, produces the milk, and ages the Parmigiano, all in the same place since 1879.

Every day except Sunday. Saturdays with reduced afternoon hours.
What you can do at the shop
At the shop, you can see the wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano up close, ask for advice on which aging to choose based on your tastes, and — above all — taste before you buy. This is the biggest difference compared to an online order: here you can compare the 12-month with the 36-month with your own palate before deciding.
The shop is directly connected to the dairy where the wheels are processed: it is not a simple point of sale, but the final step of the same supply chain that starts from our fields.
Why it's worth coming in person
Online, you can choose from all our aging varieties and have them conveniently delivered to your home. But coming in person has a different value: you can see the whole wheels before they are cut, hear the history of the Serra family from those who work in the dairy every day, and discover products you may not have known about yet, such as our alfalfa honey or our hand-assembled gift packs.
"There is no screen that can replace the moment when you taste a sliver of freshly cut Parmigiano while standing in our shop."
A tip for first-time visitors
If you don't know where to start, simply ask for a comparative tasting of two or three different aging varieties — it's the easiest way to understand which you prefer, and our shop staff will be happy to guide you in your choice without any rush.
